Tahitian Hip HopGet Fit using Hula and Tahitian moves Instructor Charmaine Lee (Lei Nani) is bringing back Tahitian moves based on traditional island dances. You will be amazed how this workout assists with cardio. The Tahitian dance is the most sensual of the South Pacific. This program is geared for anyone who wants to learn basic Tahitian dance moves while doing a workout. The Tahitian dance is all about action in the hips while isolating the upper body and working the lower bod This hip technique is both challenging and fun during this 8-week program. At the end of the program you will learn to do faarapu (vibrational swinging of the hips) that is extremely fun. It can be a challenge if you haven't worked out for awhile. However, the workout strengthens the abs, lower back, and legs. The basic moves may not sound like a lot, but for those who are unfamiliar with Tahitian dance, the moves will be plenty. It is called the Tahitian Hip Hop because you will be doing just that, moving your hips! Slim and trim. The simple techniques are applied to assist you to be fit and to be healthy. Anyone can do it. The whole idea is to burn calories and to release vibrational energy. Energy that may make you feel stressed. You can now take stuck energy and move it down into the hips. What a way to throw off negative energy. LeiNani (Charmaine Lee) believes that when the physical body is free from stress it allows the sensuality to raise. This connects you to feel creative and alive as this energy moves through the body. Talk about opening up kundalini...imagine when you are able to just relax and move at the same time. There is a side effect to this. You may want to learn more and get into a fitness program with me. At this time LeiNani is not teaching Hula or Tahitian as a class but will consider private lessons for those who are serious. Mahalo nui! Note: the class is limited to ten people. If there is a need I will go to two classes a week. And children 11-16 years will be a separate class. Who knows, if it grows we will do it in another location. I am aimed to be fit! We will measure you and keep a record of your progress. Have your goals ready. Please bring with you a pareo (sarong), a wrap for your hips. You can dress casual as if you are going to workout. Bring your own hand towel and water. Vending machines are on premises. It doesn't matter what experience you have in dance. This is designed to slim and trim. RSVP. Men's class from 8-9 p.m. on the same scheduled class for women.
